Atlanta, GA (August 21, 2013) ----- Montell Jordan, along with Victory World Music, was honored with his first Dove nomination this morning since becoming a CCM artist two years ago. Jordan was nominated for his current project, Shake Heaven, which was nominated for Contemporary Gospel/Urban Album of the Year. The 2-disc project features the full CD and a live performance DVD of the album, and showcases guest artists such as Israel Houghton and New Breed, Chris August, Martha Munizzi, among many others. The project reached #3 on Billboard's Gospel Album chart and the title track reached #25 on the AC singles chart. The second single from Shake Heaven, "You Are," features a duet with Chris August and is gaining traction at Christian radio with major adds at WFSH/Atlanta, GA; WBSN/New Orleans, LA; WTRJ/Jacksonville, FL; WDJC/Birmingham, AL and WQME/Indianapolis, IN.
